Good food can only come from passion and the love of food itself. At Kedey Kamek, we have both! Our love and passion for Sarawakian food is unbeatable, so you can rest assured to have only the best at Kedey Kamek!

How It All Started

Kedey Kamek first opened in 2015, at Dataran Sunway, Damansara, serving only Laksa Sarawak – yes, we had no other dishes at that time, just good old Laksa Sarawak. We didn’t know how folks in Klang Valley would react to our take on Sarawak’s most arguably popular dish but after few sighs of relief later, we are humbled by the many positive feedback on our specialty dish and grateful for the ever increasing fans.

Not forgetting our roots, we then opened another outlet in Metrocity Matang, Kuching in 2016, which is to become our ‘flagship’ restaurant (where else but in our home state of Sarawak, of course). This time though, we added a few more local dishes to our existing Laksa Sarawak menu such as Mee Kolok, Ikan Terubok Masin, Linut, Mee Jawa, Ayam Penyet, and so much more!

We also operate the world’s one and only 24 hours, 7 days a week Laksa Sarawak joint! Located in Satok, Kuching, this branch has a huge variety of local Sarawakian foods available to satisfy your cravings for Sarawakian culinary delights any time, any day.

In 2020, we consolidated our West Malaysian operations into 3 outlets : SS2 (Petaling Jaya), Taman Tun Dr Ismail (Kuala Lumpur) and EkoCheras Mall (Kuala Lumpur), which have experienced resounding response from the local community around Klang Valley.

Our Vision

With 5 outlets throughout Malaysia, we make sure every dish served in each of our outlets is made with passion, and represents the true flavours of Sarawak, perfected by our highly passionate chefs.

We hope to one day expand beyond the borders of Malaysia, and become global culinary ambassadors for Sarawak. Sarawak is a secret food haven, and our goal is to let the cat out of the bag!
